Testimonials

“Kim Silva is an exceptional book editor. Having worked with her on the second edition of The Last Dance but Not the Last Song, I was consistently impressed by her keen eye for detail and deep understanding of narrative structure. Kim possesses a remarkable ability to enhance a manuscript's clarity and flow while balancing constructive criticism with encouragement. You can't go wrong with Kim!”

Renée Bondi, Author and Speaker, The Last Dance but Not the Last Song

“Kim poured her own heart and soul into my book and made the editing process so painless. She is thorough, thoughtful, skilled, diligent, and really good at seeing what I don’t see. And, probably best of all, she’s good at breaking it to me when my writing is not quite as brilliant as I think it is. In those cases, she always has a solution to offer.”

Brad Franklin, Author and Pastor, Good for You

“When I sent my book, Jesus, the Lamb and the Light, to Kim Silva to be edited, I thought it needed very little editing.  However, with her full knowledge of current style trends and her amazing attention to detail, she located and corrected more problems than I imagined and vastly improved what I had written while maintaining my voice, my message, and my style. In addition, she was always prompt, accessible, and a pleasure to work with.  I am now working on a new book and will definitely ask Kim to be my editor.”

Nancy Curtis, Author, Jesus, the Lamb and the Light

“I was extremely impressed with Kim’s professionalism regarding my project. She was meticulous and thorough, finished before the deadline, went the extra mile to alert me to other concerns in the text, and returned the manuscript in tip-top shape. On top of that, she is a lovely person and a joy to work with. You will come away a better writer after working with Kim. I highly recommend her to anyone. You won’t be disappointed!”

Karen Engle, Owner, East Gate Editing

“My standards for copyediting and proofreading work are high—it's one aspect of editorial work where I've found I'm not very forgiving. Kim's attention to detail is highly consistent and excellent overall. The comments she provides are genuinely helpful to my final inspection of her work and the manuscript.  Kim is one of few people I trust to bring a consistently high level of copyediting and proofreading skills to the table.”

Adam Swiger, Head of Editorial, Speak It to Book

“Kim is an editor who goes above and beyond. Not only does she have strong grammar and punctuation, skills, but she's able to pinpoint other elements that need adjusting and then to make recommendations that fit an author's voice and goals. She applies both the art of making subjective suggestions and the science of the industry style manuals to offer a winning combination that takes a book from good to great. I highly recommend Kim.”
